Innovative repair for complex reinforcement situations

The project comprises the refurbishment of the approx. 2,300 m² underground parking garage on Rathausplatz in Ottobrunn. Due to many years of use and the ingress of de-icing salts, considerable corrosion damage has occurred to the reinforcement. The work is being carried out in cramped conditions with limited storage space in the public area, which poses particular logistical challenges.

The severe corrosion required the installation of additional reinforcement. Due to the use of a new concrete with lower electrical resistance than the existing concrete, a complex situation arose: the existing reinforcement and the additional reinforcement had to be supplied with different protective currents.

The Noxeco system was chosen for this unprecedented challenge. It enabled precise, separate current control of both reinforcement systems at no additional cost, thus ensuring permanent corrosion protection.
